HOW TO HELP: 2010 GULF OIL SPILL
BP has committed to paying for the clean-up and wildlife rescue efforts in the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. While your donations cannot be used to fund bird rescue operations in this spill, IBRRC welcomes support for its ongoing programs to rescue and rehabilitate aquatic birds by donating, becoming a member or adopting a bird. You can also make a monthy donation here.
HOW YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES
IBRRC is dedicated to saving aquatic birds whether they are caught in oil, trapped in fishing line or impacted by harmful algal blooms. Your donation helps us to:
• Respond to wildlife disasters like red tides when no funding is available.
• Care for oiled, injured and orphaned aquatic birds year-round at our two rescue facilities in California. See: Pelicans caught in storm pollution
• Continue our non-invasive research to find more effective and innovative ways to rescue aquatic birds. Check our Research section
• Provide training to organizations and individuals around the world to help them make a difference to the lives of aquatic birds. Read: Wildlife Emergency Response classes
• Educate the public about the plight of the animals we care for through outreach activities to schools and community groups, organized events, and our website.
